Smelted Quartz Pendant

This Smelted Quartz was fashioned by melting natural quartz and mixing in additives; the result is a cabochon of high clarity with wisps of cloud-like inclusions. I found it at the Cartersville (Georgia) gem show last year. It's wrapped in 14K Gold Filled wire and looks terrific, especially when it moves!

This pendant is 2" high and 1" wide.
